Miss Lindsay first began twirling at age four under the careful coaching of her Aunt Kendall and "Kendall's School of Baton" in Northwest Ohio. Her love and talent for the sport was immediate, and just ten years later, as a high school freshman, she was ready to take on students of her own. Lindsay taught beginner twirlers all throughout high school, where she spent three years as a Majorette, including two years as Head Majorette and Feature Twirler. In this role, she performed dance routines with up to three batons as well as routines that featured multiple knives, fire batons, guns, flags, and anything else she could twirl. Lindsay continued teaching baton throughout college, but after 20 years of twirling, she took a brief hiatus from the sport until she heard it calling her back in 2006. Her passion for twirling and her discovery that she still had "it" brought about "Lindsay's School of Baton" in 2007.
"I am thrilled to begin this adventure of inspiring a true love for twirling and an appreciation of this beautiful sport - a combination of dance, ballet, gymnastics, and twirling techniques. After my first class in January of 2008, there was no doubt in my mind that this is exactly what I want to do! The girls loved it! They really learned, and they got better in just the short time we were together. And that's really what it's all about - confidence. With confidence comes coordination and performance. I strive to instill the same confidence in my students that my Aunt Kendall instilled in me. Like anything else, confidence (and a little practice) makes anything possible."
